ACT-01 · Act Maneuver

How do I write a page AI engines will cite?

Write the page around one question: answer it directly in the first lines, then cover the questions a reader asks next. Show who wrote it, back every claim with a source, and add something other pages don't. Google's guidance on helpful content is the closest published standard.

Free to read, no signup. Nova drafts the page around the facts engines look for, for your approval.

01 · What the AI companies say

What the guidance says a citable page looks like

Straight from Google's documentation. No engine publishes a formula, so these are the closest published standards.

Google

Original, complete and made for people

Google asks whether a page gives original information or analysis, covers its topic thoroughly and would be recommended to a friend. It warns against content written mainly to attract search traffic.

Google

Technical basics still decide eligibility

For AI features, a page must be indexed and eligible for a snippet. Google lists crawlable pages, internal links, key content in text and structured data that matches visible text.

Show who wrote it and how

Google's who, how and why check asks for clear authorship and, where readers would wonder, an explanation of how the content was made, including any AI use.

02 · The Maneuver

Five steps to write a citable page

Do it by hand with these steps, or hand the whole thing to Nova.

  1. Pick one question

Choose the buyer question the page answers, phrased the way people type it. One page, one job.

Nova: suggests questions from your prompt set and your gaps.

  2. Write the answer first

Open with a two or three sentence direct answer. Put it in plain text, not in an image, tab or script.

Nova: drafts the opening answer for you to edit.

  3. Cover the next questions

Add short sections for what a reader asks next: cost, fit, alternatives, risks, how to start.

Nova: lists the follow-on questions and the facts engines look for.

  4. Add author, sources and proof

Name the author, date the page honestly, link every claim to its source and add an example or data only you have.

Nova: checks that each claim has a source and flags gaps.

  5. Publish, link and check

Link the page from related pages, confirm it is indexed, then re-ask the question in 30 days.

Nova: re-checks the prompt at 30 days and reports whether you were cited.
